DOMAIN 2: THE CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT Description of
Learning: My experience in classroom environment includes being prepared for
classes I’ve taught at The main classes taken within this domain include:
Reflection: I feel that I could improve in this area by bringing new elements into
my environment that may engage student attention. I’ve always been over prepared and setup
prior to classes. My classes are
taught with a combined model of cognitive, affective and psychomotor
learning. My classroom procedures and
rules are going to be posted and available to everyone. I will use realistic management for student
behavior along with encouraging students to have positive attitudes towards
self-discipline. I will maintain a
physical space that is organized, functional and fostering a safe and
engaging learning environment. Click here to see my artifacts from domain 2 Plan of Action: My plan of action will include learning the best ways to effectively
engage the students in meaningful physical education classes. I will optimize my classroom environment to
establish and maintain appropriate rapport with students as individuals. I will establish high expectations for
individuals of varying abilities. I
will plan to observe, monitor and record relevant student behaviors to manage
student behavior more affectively. I
will make my classroom the safest environment that it can be. |
